Meet Prof. Clive E Chirwa, BEng (Hons), MSc(Auto.Trans.), Msc (Auto Struct), PhD(Struct.Dyn.), FEIZ, MSAE, VerH, CEng, PEng & Distinguished professor of Crashworthiness Design of Aerospace & Automotive Engineering' etc.

Status: The DEAN, School of Engineering (The Mighty Copperbelt University)

Description: Prof. Clive E. Chirwa is an Icon. An amazing Engineer Icon, to be exact! He is smart, amazingly a genius! & famously known for his 'Rich CV'.

I first met him in my Sophomore year at Uni. I was pretty young then. And to be honest, I had little knowledge of the power that lies deep inside a single 'handshake.' Especially when it came to meeting someone amazingly great! Just get to look at me in the picture giving him my feeble handshake right there! Laughs 😁. I now know just how amazing & building it is to shake hands, smile & stand next to an Icon.

Well, I bet engineers around the world know him much much more. And when someone out there & here speaks (bad) about our home engineers, he's definitely there as a testimony to silence them all.

QUICK FACTS about Prof. Clive E. Chirwa:
1. Invented excessive load passive management system used in "all" aircrafts and spacecraft landing gears.
2. Developed Fibre reinforced composite materials used in Airbus 380 Aircraft Fuselage
3. Developed the Crush nose cone used in Formula 1 racing vehicles.
4. Developed modern systems used in the Crashworthiness concept used in all road vehicles today that protect occupants in crashes.
5. Developed the Railway Crashworthiness system used in all modern wagons and to protect passengers in a derailment crashes.
6. Contributed in the designs of many air, road & rail vehicles.

And his selected Achievements are:

1. The British Rail Award (Crashworthiness in Rail vehicles)
2. The Henry Ford Prize for contributing to the safety of passenger vehicles.
3. The Institution of Mechanical Engineers Holman Brothers Safety Award in Mechanical Engineering for the Best Research work and Paper published on Aspects of Eliminating Dangers to health and so much others!

Meet Bbenkele James Haachitwe

Meet Mr. Bbenkele James N. Haachitwe, FCCA. FZICA.
Status: Head- Internal Audit & Risk management (Copperbelt Energy Corporation Plc)

Description: Bbenkele is an exceptional man! He is resilient, focused, goal-oriented & a team player. And I think his greatest strength is his creativity & dependability which leverages his ability to initiate a pool of ideas in projects. To say it bluntly, Bbenkele Haachitwe is a man I would describe as "someone always willing to hold the umbrella" for someone else's sake. 

Mr. Bbenkele J. has seasoned experience in Audit, Accounting & Risk management. His prior success footprints could be traced back to Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation and Zambia Revenue Authority where he was Internal Auditor. He is currently Head-Internal Audit & Risk Management at Copperbelt Energy Corporations (CEC).

My encounter with him was a great experience. An overwhelming feeling of inspiration! And I am still looking forward to meeting him someday.
